Noticing Nature
What an
exciting news week we have had. The children have loved sharing their nature journals
with their peers and each child has had the opportunity to talk about what they
had found, where they found it and what their favourite piece was. We talked
about using our noticing eyes and it was lovely to listen to the different
observations the children made. Each collection was different and we were
amazed at how many different shaped leaves and shells there were.
How many words can you think of that begin with the sound 'p' as in panda?

Today the children enjoyed working on making pom poms in their Art lesson. What a great fine motor activity.

Cottage Reflections Term 2 Week 5
Working with Kindergarten
Today Kindergarten came to visit us in Cottage. They have been
looking at different spaces in the school. Mr Donaldson asked if we would like to
join in with Kindergarten and draw a picture of a bird’s eye view of our
playground. Before Kindergarten came down we talked about the different shapes
we might see. We found out that the sandpit is a rectangle and the stage is a
square. After we had worked alongside Kindergarten to draw our pictures, Cottage looked at the picture taken by Mila’s dad with the drone and talked about what
we could see. We then drew different shapes on the white board.
