From the Garden to the Plate

Today we harvested strawberries from our Cottage garden and used them to make yummy banana and strawberry muffins. Everyone helped to measure out all the ingredients and then mix them together. After morning tea we sat together and had a lovely inside picnic with our friends. We made sure to take some muffins to the office for Mrs Bennett to share with her friends as well. We also read the new Aaron Blabey book, Pig the Grub that Mrs Hincksman had brought in for us. For a wet day we certainly had a lot of fun.

Cottage Builders

This week we created a building centre on the stage outside. The children played in small groups designing different structures before building them. They were then invited to draw a diagram of their finished structure.
